Your GP Practice Is Open

Your GP practice is open: but you will notice some differences.

COVID Vaccination Programme

The surgery has started the COVID vaccination programme and is continuing to work alongside our network of practices in South Blaby and Lutterworth to deliver the immunisation. Countesthorpe Health Centre is following national guidelines for the distribution of the vaccine. We will contact our patients to invite them for a vaccination when they are eligible please do not contact the surgery to enquire about the coronavirus vaccine. To enable us to fulfil the vaccination programme we have had to release some of our clinical teams this has led to a reduction in availability of our appointments and longer waiting times on the telephone.

From Friday 5 February we have been using a new system to contact patients for their vaccination. Patients will receive a text message with a link to book an appointment at the Oadby racecourse. Each message has a unique code which  has to be verified by entering your date of birth. You will then be given a choice of appointment times and when you have selected your time slot you will receive a confirmation of the time and date of your appointment.

Appointments for second doses will be sent out in this way. Please make sure we have your current mobile number. If you do not have a mobile number we will still contact you by telephone when it your turn to make an appointment.

How To Get Coronavirus Advice

During the coronavirus outbreak, GP advice is available by telephone or by using the online consultation service. Only come to the surgery if you have been instructed to do so by a GP. Some essential nurse services are still available but do not enter the surgery if you have symptoms of coronavirus. If you need to attend the surgery, please do so unaccompanied if possible. We are trying to keep patients and staff safe during this difficult time.
