Dr Rob Browne
Dr Rob Browne was born in London and studied Medicine at Leicester University, qualifying in 1993. He did his vocational training for general practice at Countesthorpe and has been a partner since 2000.
He is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and is a GP trainer. Within the practice he is the Registered Manager for the Care Quality Commission and he is on the board of the South Blaby & Lutterworth Primary Care Network.
He lives in Bruntingthorpe with his wife Sarah and son Matthew. He is a keen footballer and other interests include music and reading.

Dr Sue Pearce
Dr. Pearce grew up in Lancashire and studied at Leicester University. She completed her GP training at Countesthorpe in 2004 and joined the permanent team in the same year.
She has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Family Planning. She is also a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. Within the practice she has an interest in Palliative Care and is involved in the teaching of medical students and Foundation Year Registrars.
She is married, has two children and lives in Wigston. Aside from her work she enjoys reading, walking and music. She is also involved with one of the churches in Wigston.

Dr Niamh Collins
Dr. Collins trained in Newcastle and qualified in 1997.
She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of General Practitioners. Within the practice she has responsibility for the dispensary.
She used to have lots of hobbies but now has 5 young children.

Dr Brigitte Gaillard
Dr Gaillard retired from the practice on 31 August 2023 after 13 years with Countesthorpe Health Centre and 12 years as a GP elsewhere. A new GP will be joining us in early November and her workload will be covered during September and October by Dr Khatri, who previously worked as a registrar.
Dr Caroline Bird
Dr Bird was born in Leicestershire. She studied at Durham University and then completed her medical training in London, qualifying in 1996.
She undertook her GP training in Kettering and since qualifying as a GP has worked in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has additional qualifications in family planning.
Dr Bird lives in Leicestershire and is married with 3 sons. She spends most of her spare time watching them take part in various sporting activities.

Dr Karen Pereira
Dr Karen Pereira was born in Singapore. Her undergraduate training was in the United States and West Indies. Her post-graduate training and clinical posts have all been done in the UK. Her GP training was completed in Leicester. She holds Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners, Diploma of Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (Liverpool), and Diploma of Family Planning. Her special interests are Sexual Health and Family Planning and she works one session per week at the Leicester GU Services. She enjoys reading, walking, looking after her chickens and scuba diving.

Dr Andrew Hanson
Having completed his final year of GP training at Countesthorpe Health Centre, Dr Andrew Hanson has now joined the permanent team of doctors.

Dr Angharad Hewins
Dr Hewins grew up in Solihull before attending Nottingham University to read Biomedical Materials Engineering in 2000. Following this she lived and worked in Davos, Switzerland for 2 years and achieved a Masters degree in research (2006). Dr Hewins then returned to the UK to study Medicine at Birmingham University, graduating in 2010, and subsequently completed her GP training in Leicestershire in 2017.
Dr Hewins holds a Diploma is Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is also a clinical trainer for Foundation and speciality GP trainee doctors.
Her hobbies include running, skiing and playing mixed hockey for Leicester Wolves. She currently lives in Cosby with her husband and two young children.
